Victor J. Dzau is the Chancellor for Health Affairs at Duke University and President and CEO of the Duke University Medical Center. He was born in Shanghai and raised in Hong Kong. Dzau is the James B. Duke Professor of Medicine. Prior to his arrival at Duke, Dzau was the Hersey Professor of the Theory and Practice of Physic at Harvard Medical School and Director of Research at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Before that, he was the Arthur Bloomfield Professor and Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Stanford University. Dzau received his M.D. from the medical school at McGill University.
